The modern world. All creatures are either true dogs or have human characteristics of some sort, such as jobs, hobbies, etc. Some have anthromorphic forms. These exist in the same universe as their feral forms. Think of them as shifters of a sort. Magic happens but isn't commonplace.
All characters are grouped by their relationships and how they fit into each other's lives. Characters who are side by side are either close friends, family, or mates. Straight or curved arrows indicate a friendly relationship with another character such as a friendship, working relationship, etc. Short black arrows indicate a rivalry, enemy, or some kind of bad history between characters! Urchin is a glass half full kind of guy. He's always giving his stuff away -- it's a miracle he has anything at all. He works as an outreach coordinator for the local homeless shelter.
Gage is a generous boy interning at the local hospital. He cares deeply about his body and is a total health nut.

Yakkaina is a contract killer. He's very good at what he does and expensive. By day, he works as a club owner.

Thaye is always ill. The only way to rid herself of her disease to to give it to others. She runs a mob out of NYC doling out karma. Shares an uneasy peace with Lanallal.
