Vecier is not a nice beast. He is cruel and thrives on the misery of others. Much of his personality revolves around acquiring more power and control and using it against other creatures. Sometimes he will hunt simply to show what he's capable of, not because he's hungry. As the top of the food chain, he is vain, self-absorbed, and selfish. Vecier has no empathy and is not even capable of experiencing it. Any indication that he might be empathetic is simply a device for manipulation.

Although Vecier technically eats meat, many in his hunting domain are convinced he feeds on fear and distress. Sometimes he will troll the sea, scaring lesser beings for fun. He just loves to see them squirm.

There is one pursuit Vecier enjoys that is actually relatively normal. He loves to race, to swim with all his might through the water. The sensation of water rushing past his scales... There is nothing like it. Some days, he can be seen just swimming for days at a time with no real purpose other than to swim. He will push himself to his limits until he is exhausted. This is one of the few times when he is weak and at a disadvantage. Otherwise, pushing himself like this gives him an outrageous amount of stamina.

Oh how he loathes Afshak. Whenever he gets even a whiff that she might be nearby, the hunt is on. His dreams are often filled with fantasies of killing her, or worse. Supposedly she's his cousin. COUSIN. Blech, just thinking about it makes him want to barf. How can such a thing be related to him, when she's so clearly inferior to his greatness.
