Balavan Burnum is a giant canine-horse creature with a more solid, muscular build to him. He mostly appears to be a big-boned canine with an erect ear set, shaggy fur, and a small underbite with large lower canine teeth protruding from his mouth. He has a tuft of fur on his chin almost like a small go-T beard, and a Mohawk that extends all down his neck to his shoulders. The portion of his Mohawk on the top of his head often flops forward on his face. If one were to continue their observations beyond his canine features, they would find that Balavan does not have paws as expected, but instead has horse hooves that could easily crush an enemy’s bones in one blow. Balavan also has a long horse tail that is nearly long enough to drag on the ground behind him as he walks. His fur consists of mostly light brown fur along with dark brown and cream colors as accenting colors throughout his coat. His eyes are a stunning bright green color. 

Balavan doesn’t always wear it, but he owns an impressive suit of armor that does an excellent job of protecting him during battles. He has a few battle scars, but they are not usually visible underneath his thick fur.

Personality:
The name Balavan means “Powerful”, and Burnum means “A Great Warrior”. This brute seems to have lived up to his name. He has been in many different wars through the years and was fairly well known around the Rohan region where he currently resides. Balavan has more of a rough exterior majority of the time, and due to him being a bit on the older side many have joked about him being a ‘grouchy old man’ when in reality he isn’t grouchy at all. A little prideful, maybe. Balavan is incredibly tolerant towards children, and may even have a true soft spot for them, but he can’t possibly let people know about this little fact. When nobody is around to witness, he actually enjoys having a little fun with the young ones. There have even been times when he let kids climb on him as if he were a mountain! But as soon as anyone comes within his sight, he puts on a silently annoyed scowl, flicks his tail, and then begins to shoo the kids away from him as if he has had enough of their shenanigans. The children adore him as if he were their loving grandfather. He wouldn’t dream of hurting a child, nor would he purposely harm anyone who didn’t pose as a threat. The large brute is very protective of his current home and everyone else who lives there. Balavan puts on a big façade of being a big tough serious guy, but underneath it all he is actually a giant teddy bear to those he cares about. However, he wouldn’t hesitate to thrust his hooves out to deliver a powerful blow to an enemy’s skull if he has to. Generally he has a calm and collected disposition, reserving his energy for when he actually needs it. He is not one to take orders from others unless absolutely necessary. He is more of a leader than a follower. He is stubborn, independent, and intelligent.

He has had no offspring of his own, and does not have a love interest. Most ladies either can’t get past his odd appearance, or they don’t take the time to truly get to know the real him that he keeps hidden. But he doesn’t mind, he isn’t actively searching for that kind of relationship anyway.
